What is Ozone: Ozone is a gas which if formed naturally during a thunderstorm when lightning converts oxygen into ozone. Ozone is generated when a high voltage electric discharge is passed through the air. The oxygen molecules are converted to ozone, with three oxygen atoms instead of two.
Ozone is a very strong oxidant. When it comes into contact with micro-organisms such as bacteria and fungi, or with odor making particles, it oxidizes them. This process is non-selective, which means that a given target such as legionellosis, they cannot develop an immunity or resistance to ozone.
Ozone is such an effective oxidant that it neutralizes all organic and inorganic material. Ozone can be used anywhere for the destruction of bacteria, funguses and viruses.
This is the second application Hydrotron applies in the process of purifying the water - the ozone cell. Hydrotron allows for the application of ozone to be controlled and the application is proven more effective and safe than the use of chemicals. |
